This recording, a collection of music devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, was recorded in Douai Abbey. It contains music ranging from plainchant to James MacMillan, including settings of the Ave Maria by Elgar, Bruckner, Dupré, Saint-Saens, Parsons and Victoria, and a wide selection of other Marian texts set to music by Guerrero, Fauré, Britten, Tavener and others. The CD is on the Herald Label in association with Aid to the Church in Need.
